I am thrilled that on November 13 my work Lost Horizons: The Timeline was awarded the honorary Grand Prize in the Artists Books Prize at the Firestation Print Studio in Armadale, Melbourne. Last week my work ‘EVEolution V’ was recognised with separate awards in two international Triennials:
- World Heritage Ekaterinburg (Honorary Diploma of Excellence), Russia; and
- White World II Mini Print Intaglio Triennial( Silver Basket Honorary Award) Kyiv, Ukraine.
Receiving these awards was particularly emotional for me.
‘EVEolutuion V’ was created on the motive from early work at the end of Australian catastrophic fires in 2020 and at the dawn of the pandemic in January 2019-2020 for the Wondering Mind Project (Slovakia / Switzerland)

It was a great honour to be part of international graphic events of this calibre and to receive awards alongside other distinguished artists and creators. Most inspiring news for me and an encouraging recognition of achievement by the exhibition curators.

A wonderful finale to my Silver Basket Award:it has been picked up from ‘Bylij Svit’ Gallery Intaglio 2021 Mini Print Triennial by Australian Ambassador in Kyiv Bruce Edwards.
A lovely letter from the Ambassador and two diplomas in Ukrainian and English along with the catalogue with impressive works; a silver basket in the shape of a printmaking press wheel or a sun has arrived, soothing the pain of not being able to attend the ceremony in person. Honoured and grateful to the director Tamara Yanovych and ambassador Bruce Edwards.
