Artist Statement
Explorations of the human condition, specifically connectedness and isolation are themes for my artworks.
The idea of the collective subconscious inspires my vision of Humankind as a meta-organism drawing on the dynamics that unite us, not that which divides us. In my works I am trying to capture intense moments of existence. Our emotional ecology defines our decisions about how to be in the world and although artists can not fix the world, the work can say “what you experience – matters”.
In an increasingly mechanised and toxic world it is important to protect our emotional ecology and humanity.
